Dinner & Silent Auction

We are having a fundraising dinner at the end of this month in an effort to help raise funds to purchase a water pump for one village we are working with in N.E. India. A new water pump will cost us around $1500. This will provide water to the village, which as of now, only has a two sources of water... catching rain water in tanks, or hiking 1000' in elevation down the hillside to a natural spring to fetch water every day. This pump will pump water up from the spring to a large holding tank in the village. If we reach this goal for the dinner, any excess funds will go towards the community center that is being built in the village.

While these are tough times indeed in our economy, we humbly ask you to consider joining us for one evening for dinner. We have recently set up a way for you to reserve online, to help expedite the process, so that you do not have to mail anything in. Payment is online, and is tax deductible. You will receive your receipt at the dinner.

While we understand there are some concerns for the "fickle" eaters out there, we have a broad menu for the evening, so if you do not care for the classic India curry and spices, you can also order plain foods like chicken or lamb, rice, breads, salads, and so on. If you wish to take a look at the menu, you may by reading the FAQ at the bottom of this page.

Join us for a wonderful Indian dinner, followed by a short presentation on NEIP and our work with one village.  You can also participate in our silent auction and get some of your Christmas shopping done early, while at the same time helping support the people of North East India.

Please RSVP if you plan to attend the dinner.  If you wish to only come for the Silent Auction, please see FAQ below.

2. How should I dress for the evening?
This is not a 'formal' event.  While dress code is not enforced, you should plan to dress semi-casual.  It is suggested you not wear shorts, tank tops, t-shirts, and the likes.  For men, simple jeans or slacks, and nice shirt is sufficient.  For women, skirt/blouse, dress, or slacks are sufficient.
